I was fortunate enough to play on a scholarship in my first year of college at Campbellsville University, a NAIA program in central Kentucky. CU volleyball was in the inaugural season. In 30 matches I led the team in kills (307) and blocks (74). In addition, I finished with a 3.89 GPA while also working a job and participating in both honors and Spanish club.
Volleyball has taught me so much about myself. Hard work beats talent when talent stops working hard, and excuses are the nails that build the house of failure. I take pride in building camaraderie on the court and in the locker room with my teammates. I am vocal, and always try to get everyone involved because I have learned it takes a team to win. The hundreds of hours spent in the gym working towards improvement has shaped me into a multidimensional player.
I’ve learned a lot since leaving Campbellsville in 2018. I am seeking an opportunity to contribute to a program while become a better player simultaneously.
