Just starting volleyball 2 years ago, I found that I had a real passion and love for the sport. It wasn't just the excitement of the kills or blocks but the comradery and the energy that came from a team because everyone had a role and depended on each other. I'm the type of person that is motivated to achieve my goals and to see others succeed. My goal is to go to college and pursue my love of world history and take that knowledge to make an impact on the world. Playing volleyball at the collegiate level is my secondary dream because of my love of the game and how it has impacted my life. It has given my more confidence and a drive to pursue all my goals with no regrets. It's difficult to balance academics, sports and extracurricluar activities but I see it as a opportunity to prepare myself for the real world. In all honesty, my grades my freshman year were impacted by the loss of my father and I used that as a learning experience. I want my academics to always come first before anything else.
