Jason Rodriguez '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball for 5 years competitively, starting in middle school. My mother’s interest in the sport sparked a desire for the game early on in my life and my passion for the game has never died out. I treat every practice as if it was a game, and every game as it’s my final game as a player. I have remained a team captain since my first year of play and to this day, I take the role seriously, striving to inspire others. I was apart of the first club team based out of Rockford, Illinois to participate in BJNC, in which we took first in the bronze division! I have also been apart of successful school programs reaching top 3 in the conference every year. My favorite memory in volleyball however, is coming up short for a bid to BJNC my 16’s year, not because I improved as a player but because it motivated me to work harder and strive for a bid the following year! I remain a honor student and top student for my class receiving over a 3.8 GPA.
