I started playing volleyball in the backyard because my sister played and wanted extra practice. I then decided to pursue volleyball further by joining a local club. This was a very basic experience and I wanted to take volleyball to the next level. I then joined my current nationals club and have been working hard for two years. Getting myself in shape was a hard process but it was definitely worth it as results came. Although my team was not expected to do well, we finished second in the Dennis Lafata Winter Volleyball Championship.
Once the pandemic hit, training got much harder as many things were canceled. I brought lifting into my schedule and put more effort and commitment into volleyball. I disciplined myself and worked hard to get better and stronger. Moving into my Junior year, I am excited to play while keeping a rigorous academic schedule. In college, I want to keep playing at a high level while meeting my personal and academic career goals.
