I have been playing volleyball since the third grade. In seventh and eighth grade, my team won back to back championships in the CII-3A Athletic League . After playing youth academy for three years, I have been playing club volleyball for five years. In February 2020, my club team placed second in the USA division at the Dennis Lafata Boys Bid Classic. My freshman year high school team won our conference championship.
Throughout my career, I have played the setter and libero positions. I am currently training with a libero coach that was on the Japanese national team and received ten best libero awards in four years. One volleyball player that I admire is Mako Kobata who is a libero on the women's Japanese national team. I also admire Erik Shoji from the Men's US National Team and have watched him for years. Lastly, I admire the defensive players on the Thailand and Korean women's teams.
The next goal in my volleyball career is to play on a collegiate team at a university with a very good academic program. I love the game of volleyball and want to be involved with it as my profession. I want to study business in college so that someday I can open up my own volleyball club . The college volleyball experience and a business degree would help me achieve these goals.
