I am a strong student academically and starting the full International Baccalaureate program including Spanish 4 Honors. I am interested in studying psychology, neuroscience, or architecture with the goal of Pre-Med. Recently I did a medical academic course at Georgetown University.
Working in my community is very important to me and I enjoy finding organizations with missions that inspire me to help. I have accumulated honors level community service hours by the start of junior year. I have organized a variety of charitable efforts including planning, fundraising and execution. I am a strong leader and can inspire and recruit my classmates to join my efforts.
I play volleyball, basketball, and baseball. I have played basketball and baseball since I was age 5. I thought these sports were everything. In high school, I wanted to play football. My Mom said absolutely no but wanted me to continue to be a three sport athlete. She encouraged me to try volleyball and I was resitant. I went to that first practice and I was hooked. I started volleyball as a freshman and quickly found my passion for this sport. I have learned a lot from my coach and am a very coachable athlete and a team player. My teammates would say that I am extremely well-liked and respected and could see me in a leadership role. My goal is to become team captain in my senior year. I have taken on a role I enjoy in supporting younger players and helping them to get better. I will join a club team this fall to continue to grow as a player. I know I can be a solid contributor as a college player.
