My aspirations in college are to graduate and make the best of it both academically and athletically. I am a good candidate for college teams because I have the urge to always be better. I will do whatever it takes to become the best that I can whether that be with relentless hours in the gym or weight room. Alongside with my personal athletic goals, I believe in pushing your teammates for them to becoming their very best.
What truly is different about me compared to my fellow NCSA athletes is my love and compassion for the game. I unfortunately do not have a men’s volleyball team at my highschool but that does not stop me. I play on the girls varsity volleyball team as a Libero. Volleyball is a mental game and I am all about that. Stepping onto a court with 11 other girls and a crowd specifically taunting who they see fit (me) defines my mental strength and passion for the game. People often refer to me as the kid who plays a “girls sport” but stuff like this just fuels me to play to the best of my ability. I have a lot of background in sports, including: Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Irish Step, Football, and of course, Volleyball. I have accomplished so much in Volleyball. School wise I have received the coaches MVP award, Most Dependable Player award, I’ve won 2 League titles, 1 district championship, and 1 state championship. I have also been named one of the few League Allstars. My club team placed second in New England Region and won a NERVA Championship just recently. To add to my volleyball resume, I was selected the past two years for USA National High Performance training and the New England Regional team. Academically my school is very strong. GD is ranked 37th in all of Massachusetts and I am an average student at GD with a 3.5 GPA! I have taken the PSAT and scored an 1130 on it. I am taking the SAT soon and as well as the ACT later this on going school year. I am an active club member of the Best Buddies Program at my school which I thoroughly enjoy. Going to a college with my major is very important to me because in life I want to do something I can enjoy every day of my life. With my experience and success in sports I would like to pursue physical education as my major, but education in general would be just as good.
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding academics, athletics, or anything in general. I am always open to talk.
