James Zippay '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is James Zippay, and I am an OH for the class of 2022. 

First and foremost, I am looking for the best academic experience possible, and I have always aspired for academic excellence. Being a winner of the JVA Ultra Ankle AthLeader award, I strive to exemplify all of the good aspects of a student-athlete. I take all the AP and honors classes that I can take, and my cumulative GPA is 4.74/4.5. My favorite subjects are Mathematics and Spanish, and I hope to study something along those lines. As well as on the court, I strive to do my absolute best in the classroom. 

Over the years, I have filled my time with sports (baseball, basketball, soccer), and volleyball is something that has become a very significant part of my life. I have been playing volleyball for 9 years, and there is more that I find to appreciate about the sport every year. Every practice, training session, and game, I always am looking for something to improve on personally and with my teammates. I want to make myself the best that I can possibly be, and I won't settle for anything less. I am always ready to step up in big games, whether that means being the captain of my club and high school team for the 20-21 season or 27 kills in the state quarterfinal game,  I am willing to put it all out on the court for my team.
