Dylan Anderson '19 Recruiting Profile

Growing up with two older siblings everything was treated as a competition from on the court to in the classrooms. I looked up and admired everything about them and at a young age I followed their footsteps in playing all kinds of sports but wasn’t until high school did I start playing volleyball. Freshman year I started for Bergen Catholic’s Junior Varsity team playing as a middle hitter and although it didn’t last as long as I hoped I grew as a player and teammate. Sophomore year brought new coaches who saw the potential in me moving me to an outside hitter were I excelled.

Sophomore year I was fortunate enough to be brought up to the varsity level and by the end of the year achieve second team all-county and second team all-conference. Unfortunately, my team and I did not see states but through hard-work and determination, we hope to not only make it to states but win as well. I look forward to Junior year and what it brings and the possibilities it has for me as an athlete.
