Carter Dittman '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a very versatile and hardworking athlete with great grades who is extremely motivated to play top-level ball.  I have been playing indoor volleyball since third grade after going to a varsity run clinic and knowing immediately that it was the sport for me. I started playing beach doubles at age 11 and spend most of my summer on the beach. With indoor,  I started out as a setter and transitioned to OH at the end of my 14's year which really helped me develop a strong understanding of the mental game as well as the physical aspects.  I am always working on bringing my game to the next level with private lessons, travel tournaments, and playing sand doubles all summer long.  This summer I'm headed to California for camps to improve both my beach and indoor games.  I strive to continually get better at all aspects of the game and always welcome feedback and coaching.  I have strong health habits including lifting to prevent injury and being mindful of my nutrition and sleep to make sure I'm in top shape to compete.  In addition to being a strong individual player, I also understand that volleyball is a team sport and know that winning happens when a team really gels and supports one another.  I believe in leading by example so I stay positive on the court with my teammates and always give encouragement and compliments.  Overall, I know would be a great addition to a collegiate-level team.
