Dear Coaches

      My name is Jake Vessalico. I am a junior, part of the graduating class of 2024 at East Islip High School in Islip Terrace, New York. As a student-athlete, I am very interested in attending a college that can fit my major, and learning so much more about their volleyball program. I am a setter for East Islip High School, and for Academy Volleyball Club of Long Island 17 - Blue.

My current unweighted GPA is 4.0, and at this time I am interested in Finance as my potential major. Taking both AP Statistics and AP Environmental science/Biology this year has sparked my interest within the field of finance.

I also continue to work outside of high school and travel volleyball with a private D1 trainer, to help get extra reps in my downtime. We are always working to improve my defense/offense, as well as the mental side of volleyball (such as court awareness)

I also strive to be a supportive teammate on/off the court, by picking my teammates up when they are struggling, and establishing a connection even before we start to play together
