Joseph Husting '22 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing volleyball since the fifth grade and I've loved every minute of it!  It has allowed me to grow as a person as well as an athlete and I've learned many life lessons through playing.  I thrive on competing at a high level and look forward to doing so thoughout my college career.

Two intangible qualities about me are my work ethic and my leadership skills.  I pride myself on my work ethic both on and off the court by achieving a 4.6+ GPA while at the same time attending as many trainings and practices as possible.  As far as leadership goes, I try to lead by example.  So far this has worked well as I've been appointed team captain for my Freshmen and JV teams and was chosen for the leadership for marching band.  

At school I've taken all honors and AP courses, and have recently scored a 29 on the ACT with a 36 in reading.  Looking forward, I'd like to study both Business and Graphic Desgin in college.

I'm very passionate about furthering both my athletic and academic careers in the coming years and will do whatever it takes to do so.
