Sam Leeson '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sam Leeson, I am 16 years old and currently in grade 11 at A.Y Jackson Secondary School, in Kanata, Ontario. I am 5’7 (67 inches) and have a wingspan of 69 inches, I have 10’1 spike touch and weigh approximately 140lbs.

I play Libero for the Ottawa fusion 17u team, I have 2 years of setting experience. This is my 3rd year playing with the Fusion volleyball club. 

The reasons that I would be a good candidate for any team is because I am loud and able to take charge of of my passer when preparing for serve receive and I am capable of passing difficult serves with accuracy. I do my best to motivate my teammates and keep them in a winning mentally and I don't get frustrated from a single shanked pass.

What separates me from other liberos is that I am willing to put in the work to become the best I possibly can, whether it's academically or athletically, even though I may be as naturally gifted as other players in terms of height I make up for it in my pure passion for the sports, my efforts when no one is watching and my overall work ethic simply wanting it more than others in my position.
