Hello Coaches! My name is KG Bennett and I have competitively been playing volleyball since I was twelve years old. Both my mother and my sister play the sport and before I tried out for a competitive league, we would always pepper in the backyard. Therefore, the passion for the sport runs deep in my family. I am currently seventeen years old and I am in my junior year of high school. During my off season, I make sure I keep getting touches by playing in beach leagues. Every time I am on the court, I put 110 percent in, whether it be towards practice or a game. I knew after a year of playing competitively that one of my volleyball goals was to compete at the collegiate level. Every year that I have played competitive volleyball, I have played above my age group, sometimes by four years. I feel that playing up has only helped me because it forced me to work hard and prove to the coaches that they made the right decision in choosing me. I am a true believer in working hard in order to earn playing time on the court. I enjoy watching college games on TV and picking up on strategies, forms, and skills that I can take with me the next time I am on the court. I believe that no matter how good you are at something, there is still much more that you can learn. I also want to grow as a volleyball player and become the best person I can be by taking what I learn on the court and applying it off the court in my academics and life in general. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
