I've always been athletic, at 7 years old my parents had me in competitive gymnastics. While I exceled at it, finishing in the top 8 both years I competed, I didn't have a passion for it. My older sister had started playing volleyball and her club wanted to start a boys program, so at 12 years old I started my club volleyball journey and found my passion. This is my 4th year playing club volleyball, I've been fortunate to have coaches that recognized my setting skills and I've been running a 5-1 all 4 years. I am lucky to have a team that has really grown and worked well together, we've gone to Nationals the last two years and have double qualified for Open Nationals this year (if we get to go due to COVID-19). Since boys volleyball is not available in my middle school or high school I'll continue to play club the next four years, but I also keep busy at school with basketball, cross country, track and tennis. Also I focus on my academics and would like to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
It is my dream to play volleyball in college and that is why I'm trying to start this process early. I have goals and want to position myself to achieve them.
