Gerardo Sanchez '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gerardo and I am currently a senior. It is not a secret that volleyball is something that has allowed me to grow as a person, and allowed me to become a better version of myself.  On the court I am a leader. In practice I push not only myself, but my teammates in order to grow. While in practice I ask for ways to improve myself and better connections with my teammates. During games I encourage my teammates to be their best. When the game begins I take it one point at a time and everything is blocked from my mind to be in the moment. In school, I’ve taken 6 AP courses I am very dedicated to my school work and have a great attitude when in class. Outside of academics I am an ambassador for my high school and enjoy coaching a youth team. Past college, I would like to pursue a career in medicine. I am excited for the journey ahead of me.
