My name is Joshua Todd, I live in Fort Worth, Texas. I am currently a Senior, class of 2022, enrolled in an online school called iUniversityPrep. I have learned that time management helps me to balance my school, my job, and my club season.
I have grown up around a volleyball. Even as a small boy, my parents spent hours tossing the ball for me to pass it back to them. I was first introduced to the rules of the game when I was eight year old through USYVL when my family moved to California. Unfortunately, I broke my arm the day after my first game. I didn't let this stop me. I went to practice anyway to watch my brothers play and the coaches showed me how to serve even with my cast on. This event catapulted me further into the love of the game and it forced me to adapt and become a versatile player. During my second season, I started jump-serving and later that season I played up on my brother's team. After every practice, I was more excited by the game and wanted more.
My parents sought out opportunities for my brothers and me to continue growing in the game through various club affiliations and camps.
I am nearing the end of my high school career and I want to keep growing as a player and continue the hunger for the game. Additionally, I want to keep that same hunger for improvement in my academic career as well.
