-My name is Harrison Labrosse and I’m the goalie for both Acalanes High School and CC United 18U’s A team. This is my 6th year playing water polo and my goal is to achieve that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to continue playing water polo at a D1 school. I’m a proven asset at both the team and league levels. I was awarded USA Water Polo All-American Honorable Mention at the 2021 Junior Olympics and voted MVP for Acalanes Water Polo this season, as well as First Team All American Diablo Athletic League Foothill Division. I ended my junior year's second semester with a 3.83 unweighted/ 4.08 weighted and my current academic goal is to enter the field of Computer Science.
-I am a very coachable goalie and have good sportsmanship both inside and outside the water, as demonstrated when I was awarded the Jody Campbell award for Sportsmanship in the 2018 Champions Cup. This season I won the Cal High Sports Bay Area top play of the 2021 fall season (clip starts at 3:13). I view myself as a positive role model and constantly strive to keep my team’s spirit up. I also know that as goalie I serve as a vocal instructor to the team. Every goal scored on us, I talk to my team in order to correct possible mistakes. I also review my own conduct and determine how to improve for next time. I do not dwell upon missed goals. I continually work on improving my performance by attending Jack Bowen’s Combines, numerous goalie clinics and camps.
