As a leader among my peers, I put 110% into Water Polo. This is about pushing myself and working hard to gain the respect of my coaches and push my team to success! My drive and determination caught the eye of my coaches. They appointed me to be the captain of the Water Polo Team my senior season.
My Water Polo Journey started my sophomore year. Going into tryouts, I had limited knowledge of the game and struggled initially with swimming. Since the coach needed a goalie, I volunteered to fill that position. Practicing with maximum effort, in and out of the pool, I led the JV team to the best season in nine years.
In the academic environment, I maintained outstanding grades and achieved certain personal goals including National Honor Society, Société Honoraire Française, and success in AP and Honors courses every year. Playing with many of the same teammates this year, I continue to push them to give their all even when they are not feeling the best. Striving to be a leader among my teammates throughout high school prepared me to promote the same leadership at the college level.
For college, I aspire to join a competitive team and win a championship. I want to push my teammates to the next level and build a strong team bond. Furthermore, in my academics I want to pursue either business or sports medicine as a major and excel in all my classes continuing to push myself and give my best effort.
