Kai De Orbeta '23 Recruiting Profile

My goals/aspirations are to be able to play at a D1 water polo school. This has been my dream since I started with the sport and, I have been working as hard as a can in order to accomplish this goal of mine.  What makes me different from the other candidates is that I will work harder than anyone to be in a good position for me and be able to lead my team to the best result. Being from Puerto Rico it is harder for me and my other teammates to get our names out there, and that's why I have to work double in order to surpass any International or any players from the US.  Not only do I dream of playing water polo at a good school, but I wish to take my academics to the best ones. That's why I work hard inside and outside of the pool. I believe that I have the leadership, academics, and level in order to play in an academically and athletically competitive school. I think that I have great characteristics for any team because I constantly push my teammates to the limits because I can recognize that they are capable of being great.
