Over my college career I would like to compete with a team who can work together and play hard. I am a very competitive person when it comes to athletics. Growing up in Alaska has shaped me into the competitive athlete I am now. I'm known for being a positive influence and increasing team morale. I demonstrate leadership and I play as hard as I can with a goal to lift team spirit, play well and play honestly. I have put together workouts for my high school team in the weight room. I believe fitness as a team is required to play successfully. I've been a competitive cross country skier for 4 years, and train over 500 hours per year. I've made it to national competitions, and with goals like that, I will work as hard as I can to achieve them not just for my own happiness, but for the success of my team. Although I have only competed at a high school level, I believe that my athletic abilities will take me far. As a junior in high school, I stand with a 3.8 gpa unweighted and a 4.02 gpa weighted. I took 4 IB classes as a junior and as a senior I will be taking 5. By the time I graduate high school I will have taken 3 years of chemistry, and that is the subject I'm interested in studying in college. I am a hard worker when it comes to academics and. athletics; I strive to do my best every day, and live life to the fullest.
