Kaiya Balovich '24 Recruiting Profile

I‘m here in hopes of continuing softball beyond high school. I have been playing softball my whole life and my love for it grows everyday. 

I play on Sitka High School’s Varsity softball team as a starting pitcher. With limited opportunities in this part of Alaska I have taken advantage of playing when I can. I play for two club teams, our local AK Riptide softball club and Arctic Heat from Anchorage Alaska. I have been playing for AK Riptide since I was in 10u and have traveled many times with them. This is my first year playing for Arctic Heat. I also have many years of experience playing with Little League, including many All Stars teams and a State championship with a trip to Western Regionals in California  

Academics has always been my main focus. I am going into my senior year at Sitka High and have maintained a 3.9 GPA as well as being a member of National Honor Society. I try to take challenging classes to not only expand my knowledge but to also improve my work ethic skills. 

On the field I am very competitive, coachable, and always open to trying new things.
