Hello! My name is Sieanna, I am 17 going on 18 years old. I am currently finishing up my senior year of high school. When I think about continuing my education I think about majoring in something I am really passionate about and also continuing learning and playing softball. I have been playing for Red Deer Rage Minor Softball Assoc. for the past 3 years, during this time I have gained a lot of confidence in the way I play. I have also learned to stay in a mental state where I dont get to high or low on myself during a game or practice.
During the summer of 2014 I enrolled myself in summer school so I could complete two grade 11 courses so I could focus most of my grade 11 year on my softball skills. Also, during this summer I got the chance to play for Zone 2, coached by Neal Harlos, for the Alberta Summer Games. These games occur once every 2 years, where zones 1 through 8 compete and medal in many sports. During this three day event, Zone 2 went 5-0 winning gold in Softball.
I know that my grades over the past two years havent been "amazing", but this year I plan on splitting all my time equally for sports and education. I plan on graduation highschool with an advanced diploma and honours.
At the beginning of February 2016 I was given the opportunity to apply for a position as a pitcher with AIST. I was notified shortly after applying that I have been accepted to play on the softball team and I will be heading to the Dominion Republic in July 2016 with the rest of my teammates. I am very excited and looking forward to this opportunity and experience it will give me.
