Hello, my name is Emma Petersen, and I am a successful student and competitive softball player who wants to continue to compete both in the classroom and on the field in college. Right now I am an incoming senior at Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona, graduating in 2022. My overall GPA for Freshman through Junior year is 3.952 (unweighted) and 4.238 (weighted). This is with 2 AP classes and 8 Honors Classes. I play club softball for AZ Hotshots Gold - Davis/Downes. In my last club season, I had a 0.438 batting average with a 0.708 slugging percentage and 29 RBIs. What sets me apart is that I am loyal, hardworking, and passionate both in the classroom and on the field. I have also been told by my Hitting Coach and Club Coach that I have a "College Ready Swing." I take this as an incredible compliment considering hitting is my favorite part of the game. Well, other than winning.
