My name is Amaya Serrano, Class of 2026. I play for the club team Firecrackers AZ Tapia 18u in Phoenix, AZ. For high school, I am going into my 3rd year as a starter for Buena High School Varsity in Sierra Vista, AZ, position Catcher. For Freshman and Sophomore season, I earned First Team All Region Catcher for 5A Sonoran and AIA Scholar Athlete Award for GPA above 4.0.
I have been playing softball for over 11 years. My primary position on the field is catcher and I also play middle infield. I also enjoy weight lifting and recently hit personal records of 255 deadlift, 225 squat, 135 power clean, and 115 bench press. I maintain a 4.0 GPA, weighted GPA of 4.167 by also staying focused on my academics.
I strive to be a leader on the field so I ensure that I set the best example by giving max effort, learning when to make adjustments, implementing feedback from my coaches, and motivating, cheering, and communicating well with my teammates. I also love to spend time as a volunteer coach and mentor to younger athletes in my community.
My goal is to earn the privilege to play softball in college, make an impact to the program I play for, and earn my degree towards my future career. I appreciate your time and thank you for viewing my profile. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
