Personal Statement

Hey there! My name is Laura Scott. I was a 2021 catcher, outfielder, 2nd baseman and Lead-off hitter for my travel team Team Velocity and the Buena High School Varsity Team. I attended Buena High School in Sierra Vista, AZ with an average GPA of 3.57. I’m interested in studying Criminology and General Studies. I am currently a freshman at St Andrews University and looking to possibly transfer because they do not have a real criminal justice program. I know I want to engage in a career that helps improve the world and quality of life for all people. I may be only 5' 1" but I play much bigger and surprise many coaches in my batting power, speed and catcher and fielding skills. I am also a born leader  who is mature and believes in if you don't lead, get out of the way because I will. I was the Buena High School Varsity Team Captain and the Buena High School Colt Club President. I have a real passion for playing softball. Softball is a very important thing to me simply because it brings out the best person in me. It’s my way to release stress (emotional, having fun, exercise, happiness, etc.), and I want nothing more than to continue playing this sport. Bottom-line I am a born softball player, leader, and team player.....

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
