I am a 2017 graduate from Bakersfield. CA. I have been playing softball since I was 7 years old and I have always wanted to play at the collegiate level. As a freshman, I originally played first base but eventually was switched back and forth from 1st and 3rd as needed throughout my years. I have played 1st base and 3rd base for basically my entire life. I also used to be a catcher and a pitcher. I have played every position there is in softball from middle infield to corners to pitcher and catcher to outfield. I carry a weighted GPA of 3.6 and I am in one math class above my grade. I want to find a college that will help me learn to excel in academics and athletics, and lay a solid foundation for the rest of my life. Money is important to me because my brother does play sports and my family already has had some rough times with him and his college life and I would like to help. Softball is so important to me because it got me through a lot of rough times from when I used to get bullied a lot to other things and I love to compete it gets your blood flowing and just simply makes me happy. Lastly, I would love to find a school that is close to home but am willing to potentially compromise and a school with an excelling athletic training program, academics, and preferably a decent sized school.
