Marissa Dado '13 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Marissa Dado. I am currently 16 years of age. I am agile and fast. My bat speed is quick. I am 5'2 and 113 lbs. I have been playing softball since I was 7 years old. I started out playing for my cities softball league. Every year I would be selected to play for the All-Star tournaments. I received numerous MVP and coaches awards. When i was about 13 years old I joined a local travel team called the Dust Devils. We competed in several tournaments and won many of them. I have played every postion except for catcher. My freshman year I was starting right fielder and batted in the number 3 slot. We won our league and I was selected as All Area Honorable Mention. My sophomore year I was starting center fielder and batted in the number 4 slot. We won Desert Sky league again and I was selected as !st team All League and !st team All Area. I also led the league in stolen bases.  During the summer of 2011 I played for Barstow Little League Senior Softball. I led my team in winning District 49, Section 8, Division 3, and California State Champions. My coach and team voted me to be MVP and the hardest worker. I can offer a team motivation and heart. I would like to continue playing beyond my high school years. My preference is to attend college in the Western Region. I would like to stay close to home but not to close. I am open to different types of schools. I am looking to major in kinesiology but I am not sure yet. My goals are to do my best in academics and on the field.
