Hello my name is Sidney Lay and I am a student athlete at Colusa high School. Softball has been apart of my life since I was five and I started Playing competitively at the age of 8. I am a right handed pitcher and a middle infielder. My current GPA is a 4.18 out of a 4.0 and I am first in my class out of 99. I was valedictorian in my eighth grade class of 500 and I am working my way towards being valedictorian for the class of 2018. I am also the Associated Student Body Athletic Awards Commissioner and class Vice President. Other sports I play are basketball volleyball and cross country. My freshman year I was moved up to varsity and I started in the circle. My team won league and are the 2015 section champs for the San-Jaoquin Northern section division 5. My freshmen year I received All-League, All-Area, and All-Section second team. My Goals for high school academically and athletically is to win sections for softball all four years, be named athlete of the year my senior year, be super 7 all four years of high school, receive a scholarship to any collge to play softball and receive an education, and become valedictorian for the class of 2018. My Goals for college is to attend any Division 1,2,3 or NAIA on an athletic and academic scholarship. I want to major in kinesiology, athletic training, sports medicine, or something along those lines. My goal for college is to leave behind a legacy. When I finish playing I want to leave the game knowing no one else has played this game with more passion. Knowing that no one player has out worked me not one single day. You see, I may not have blazing speed or a 6 foot frame, but I know with my uncomparable work ethic and passion for this game, I will be ready to help my teammates, my family on the field compete at our highest level. After college I want to return to my hometown and give back to the athletes. I want to become a P.E. teacher at Colusa High School and own my own sports complex.
