I've always been interested in softball not only because of my love for it but also because my two older sisters played as well. They showed me how to be an amazing athlete and how to find success in the sport. Making Varsity my freshman year also helped develop me into a better overall player. I learned how much more time needed to be spent on the little things and how important the mental side of the game really is. I was also able to watch the older girls as they led the team and learn more about becoming a good leader for my teammates.
As I enter my Sophomore year I not only wish to maintain a 4.0 grade average but want to continue to enroll into classes that challenge me to be a better student everyday. I want to find a college that fits me well academically and athletically. What makes me different from other athletes is that I'm extremely coachable and have an amazing work ethic. I'm always willing to listen to any advice that will help me better myself and I'm always putting some type of practice in everyday. I believe I have a great deal of perseverance and determination that helps me get through struggles and I understand that practice is where I am able to rise above everyone else. This kind of work ethic is where I believe I can make an impact on any college program.
