My dream is to play softball at a competitive university with high academic standards and major in a STEM field. My versatility on the field, strong hitting record, and speed make me unique. For example, I’ve played every infield position on my travel teams except for pitcher, so I understand the game from multiple perspectives. I bring a combination of speed and strength to my game, which I demonstrated at the 2018 On Deck Recruiting Combine in Stockton, California. There I received an Allister Index score of 90.05 (as an 8th grader), which was the highest score in my organization (from 12U through 18U). This past summer, my team won the USA Softball National Championship.
I take softball and my schoolwork very seriously. I’m currently taking two honors classes (biology and math) and Mandarin II to challenge myself. I also played on the Junior Varsity field hockey team this fall. My recent service activities include teaching environmental education lessons to 5-11 year-olds as a junior camp counselor and helping foster rescue dogs.
