I have learned so much in life because of the challenges and successes of softball. There has been so many highs and lows in my athletic career so far and it has taught me to adjust to each situation. For example, I had so much excitement and joy when I hit the walk off triple for my teams PGF qualifier in New Mexico in 14u. On the other hand, when an error is made or a bad hit, I have to overcome mentally and get right back to playing the game. There isn't time to dwell on a bad situation and as a team player, it is important to keep my team mates positive and uplifted whatever the circumstance may be.
Time management is a big part of being an athlete in high school, and I have had to learn to manage practices, homework, games and even my social life in order to succeed so far. It hasn't been easy, but I have no regrets as of now, and am hoping that the hard work will pay off in the end.
I am easy to adjust to a variety of situations and do what am ask of by a coach to assist with the needs of a team. Being on a high school softball team, a travel ball team, and having my private and group coaches has allowed me to adjust to the different coaching preferences and skills that they teach. I am a coachable student athlete and always willing to learn from coaches in order to better my skills and improve my game.
