Hi coaches, my name is Riley Anthony. I am interested in studying how the changing environment is affecting our oceans and beaches. I would like to use my degree to help save the ocean for future generations so they can enjoy it as I do. The sciences also have a serious underrepresentation of minority females and I believe I can make a great impact.
I am a good candidate for your team because I am very coachable, I adapt to situations well, I am a natural born leader, and I support my teammates on and off the field.
I am different from other recruits because I work hard to represent what's on my chest and take pride in everything I do. I also have a strong work ethic. Along with that, I believe softball represents life both on and off the field. Discipline represents upholding yourself to a specific standard in the classroom and on the field. Multiple sports, including softball, have taught me how to overcome difficult situations and to stay true to my ethics. This will also help me in a future career. Challenging myself in the classroom shows the competitive nature I have towards academics. Community service has also taught me to the importance of giving back and I will continue to do that as a representative of your school.
