When I think of ways to describe who I am as a person, I instantly think of these words/phrases: hard worker, determined, athletic, kind, caring, and smart. Before softball was a part of my life, I always took pride in being a supportive older sister to my younger brother, and a person who people would be proud to be a friend of. When softball did enter my life, I wanted to take those similar values with me onto the field. I promised myself I would work as hard as I possibly could in order to better myself for my team. I believe very strongly that when a team of girls get together with one common goal, nothing can stand in their way. I'm sure many girls have already said this in their profile, but I mean this with every part of my being: If you decide to take interest in me, I promise I will work harder than I've ever worked before, still maintain my good grades, and be a kind person to my whole team. - Overall 9/15&16 PGF tournament result: # of games played, 5. Result, 4-0-1. Lauren played all but 3 innings over the two day event. Primary positions were LF and RF, and spent a few innings in CF. Two tournament highlights: 1) ABs, 5 for 9, 3 RBI, 2 BB, 2) Lauren débuted her new catching skills relieving the starting catcher in top half of the 7th inning.

- AwardsI graduated from Valley Christian Junior High with academic honors for maintaining above a 3.5 GPA or higher from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I have also received the Valley Christian HS athletic scholar award for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher for both my freshman and sophomore seasons. Lastly, I have been a consecutive (12U/14U) nominee for "The Bucket Award,” which recognizes outstanding character and sustained hard work. (This award has been discontinued in our organization as of 2018).
- ActivitiesIn 2018 I became an unofficial intern at Cal-Hi Sports Media, which focuses on CA Bay Area high school sports and athletes. My first assignment was to interview a recent CAL softball commit and San Jose Sting outfielder, Diamond Holland. I am also a part of our VCHS Journalism club, as well as our school’s creative magazine called Blueprint, that I co-founded last year. Additionally, I am a high school leader for our Fellowship of Christian Athletes Club.
