Sophie D'Orazio-Lelli '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sophie D'Orazio-Lelli grad year 2025 from Mission College Preparatory Catholic School in San Luis Obispo, CA.  I am a dedicated softball player and student with a natural internal drive to excel both on and off the field. I began playing t-ball at age six then softball age 8 and fell in love with the game.  I have spent countless hours since  honing my skills and pushing myself to be the best athlete I can be.

Softball has taught me the value of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. As a pitcher, I thrive under pressure, and I take pride in my ability to strategize and execute crucial pitches when the game is on the line. Whether it’s getting a ground ball, a fly ball, striking out the last batter or delivering a key base hit when my team needs it I appreciate the opportunity to be in that moment. But my commitment to softball extends beyond the field. I understand the importance of academics and have maintained a strong GPA while balancing the demands of both school and sports. I believe in setting high standards for myself, not only as an athlete but as a student-athlete.

I am not just looking for a place on a team; I am seeking a university that values the growth of its student-athletes both athletically and academically. I am eager to contribute my skills, work ethic, and leadership to a program that shares my goals.
