I first started playing soccer when I was 5 years old. Ever since then, it never occurred to me to stop. As I grew up, my love for the game grew with me. Soccer is beautiful to me. Its finesse and skill combined with its grit and strength is the reason it has never occurred to me to quit.
However, the road has not been easy. In 2018, my club team disbanded. After that, a few of us started training with our current coach. For months, we trained and trained, with no end game in sight. It tested our motivation and loyalty, to each other and to the sport. We worked hard to build up our team from nothing. This experience made us stronger; it separated those who were committed and those who weren’t. It showed me that sticking with something gives reward. We were still building this team by the time the fall season started. With adding players in the middle of the season, we had to work twice as hard to build chemistry and improve individually. But we did. And I wouldn’t change a thing.
Over the years, I have gone to a couple US Soccer camps. I was trained by Lori Lindsey and Lindsey Tarpley. The camps opened up my eyes and made me realize that I want to play soccer professionally. It taught me how important passion is, and it made me realize that I have that passion. The passion to grow. The passion to work hard and take criticism. The passion to go far.
Thank you for your time!
