My name is Stacey Rodriguez, and I am a passionate softball player graduating in 2024. I play all three outfield positions with my preference being center field. I play second base as well. I live in Vista, California and attend Rancho Buena Vista High School where I have played on the varsity softball team for the last 2 years.
As a softball player, I want to do my best to earn a softball scholarship for a school that fits me from an educational, athletic, and social perspective. I want to help my college team achieve their goals and win a championship. I am interested in studying all aspects of business management and earning a degree that will allow me to one day have my own real estate business. I have always had a love for learning, and academics are very important to me. I am a very diligent student with a 3.6 GPA currently.
Once a week I have hitting lessons with Coach Steve Stanzione. We work on my swing mechanics but also study techniques and how my strengths as a batter can be used at the plate. In addition, I get extra fielding lessons with Coach Jessica Alexander. I also do personal training with John Pierson, the co-owner of Elite1 training . I love this training, because I am constantly being asked to push my limits and realize that I can achieve any goal I set if I push for it.
When I am not on the field or studying for school, I spend a lot of time at the beach, reading a good book, or just hanging out and enjoying the company of my family. I also play on the volleyball team for my high school . For extracurricular fun, I am a part of my school’s Peer Counseling program. Where I get to interact with my classmates and tackle some of the problems we all face as we navigate high school.
