2020 Highlights Personal Statement
Swimming is my passion, and I consider my team to be an extension of my family. I swim because I love the sport and while winning is fun, being part of a team and playing with honor is more important. I strive to be a leader and positive role model by setting a good example through my work ethic and my behavior. Team building and a positive attitude are key, and I take the time after each game/meet to send a positive message to my teammates and encourage them as we prepare for our next challenge.
At the college level, I am committed to my academics and the sport that I love--swimming. I work hard to balance my academics with athletics; my strength is my work ethic and my ability to remain organized so I have time for my studies, time for sports, and time for fun.
