Hi, my name is Christyna Winstead.
To say softball is my passion is an understatement! I’m committed to my team, the game, and myself 100% of the time. I’m fortunate enough that I have parents that support my dream and encourage me to train all year round .
I have grown up in an athletic family and I have been playing for over twelve years. I started playing in Little League and my love for the game has grown ever since. When I was twelve years old I decided that I wanted to play at the next level so I started playing in the travel softball leagues.
My main position is Shortstop, but I’m very versatile and can play in any position, infield or outfield. I have as much love for the game as the day I started playing and my goal is to play at an Elite College level after graduation.
I attend Montville High School and have played on the Varsity Softball team since my freshmen year. My first year on the team I earned the starting position at 2nd base and our team won the Division Title that year. Currently, I am the starting Shortstop for our team. In addition to Softball, I play on the Varsity Volleyball and Basketball teams at Montville High.
Ultimately, my desired school is one that has a competitive Softball program and also a great Engineering path.
I feel confident that I would be a great asset to any team because of my love for the game, my desire to always be better and my humorous personality….. Because who doesn’t want to have a little fun when your winning!
