I played baseball from when I was very young until 7th grade, when I made the switch over to softball. This was a significant change for me, as I fell in love with the sport immediately. I also feel playing baseball before softball gave me a unique advantage in the game, and has made me a better player as a result. Each day I show up to the field excited and ready to improve with help from my coaches and my teammates. I have always been a tenacious and ambitious player on and off the field, which I believe has made me stronger both athletically and academically. I excel in the classroom and take my classes seriously. I enjoy academics and take advantage to the fullest the opportunities I have in the classroom while maintaining a high GPA. I hold myself in the highest standard when presenting myself on and off the field, as I find it important to represent myself and my team in the best way possible. While I am not always a verbal presence, I try to lead by example for my team, and be an encouraging and driving force for my teammates. I always want to keep striving to play at that next level and it is my dream to play at the collegiate level and work hard to excel in my classes in college.
