I began playing Little League softball at the age of five. My interest in the game picked up at the age of nine, when I was selected to the all-star team. By the age of 10, I was playing travel softball. This level of competition helped me to develop as a player, as I went on to lead the Little League all-star team to two Connecticut state championships in 2013 and 2015. I feel I grew the most as a student athlete during my sophomore year in high school, when I had surgery two months prior to the start of softball season. Post operation, I improved daily and worked to earn the starting varsity pitcher position. This experience led me to enhance my skills and continue to grow as a player. It opened my eyes to how blessed I am to be able to play the sport that I love. My hard work over the years resulted in a 2019 Connecticut high school state championship victory. Continuing as a student athlete at the college level, I am looking for a program that will be a good fit athletically, as well as academically in my studies to become a teacher. I have been working as a camp counselor since 2014, and volunteering as a coach at Little League for the past two years. I believe it’s important to be a positive role model, while sharing my knowledge of the game with young girls and spreading interest in the sport I love.
