The biggest influence in my life is my family. My family has supported me and helped me in becoming who I am today. I first became interested in softball around the age of 6. I had already played other recreational sports, and had not found a love for them. My dad asked me one night if I wanted to play softball, so I gave it a try. I knew I loved softball from the very first time I played.
Playing softball has really given me the chance to understand good character, and work on developing a better self. I have met some of my best friends playing this sport. Family, softball and my coaches have taught me so many things about the sport and more so about how to be a better person and team mate. Your attitude can be a difference in winning or losing a game on the field as well as how you make it through tough situations off the field.
One of my academic goals for high school is to keep a high GPA and allow myself opportunities further on in school. Once moving on to college and thinking about a career, I would like to pursue something in the medical field. I have not settled on any particular area of the medical field yet, but I’m very interested in sports medicine. I would really like this area of study because I hope to one day help others and I feel like having played sports would help my understanding of how to help people.
My goal for life is to play the game that I love at the highest competitive level, and study my favorite occupation to become someone that can make a difference in others’ lives one day.
