Rylie Lane '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been interested in volleyball since my 7th grade year.  After making the volleyball team my 8th grade year, I decided I should further my skills and improve in club ball. I started a little later than others which meant that I had to work harder to catch up with everyone else on my team. Due to training every week I was able to quickly adapt to the higher skill level and play with older athletes which is what I hope to also do at a collegiate level. This year I am 15 years old and playing on  Colavol's 17 team and I hope to improve my skills even more and work to hit harder, jump higher, and run faster. I just finished my sophomore high school volleyball season at Harris County HighSchool. This season I played on our JV team when they needed a stronger outside hitter against higher caliber teams and on the varsity team as a middle. I have been constantly surrounded by volleyball this past year between school ball, club ball, and camps/showcases and as a result my skill level continues to improve.
