Completing a triple play and placing 6th at the 2017 Hawaii State Softball Championship were some of the highlights at the end of my first season as a varsity player. During my freshman year, our team needed a first baseman. With the shortstop position filled by a senior, I demonstrated my versatility by earning the starting first baseman role even though I never played that position before. My primary position is shortstop but I also play second base, outfield, and pitcher. We won the 2017 Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) - Division I Championship for the third year in a row going undefeated.
I am committed to becoming the best student-athlete I can be. By dedicating extra hours on and off the field, I maintained a 3.5 GPA and was named to the 2017 All - BIIF Division I team as a freshman. I was also featured as the Tribune Herald's Athlete of the Week (3/12-3/18/17) for pitching. Currently, I am working on batting from the left side to compliment my speed. I am very coachable and I'm looking for a program that can not only enhance my skills and knowledge of the sport that I'm passionate about, but also challenge me academically. I believe I have the work ethic and talent to compete for a college team and make an immediate impact on that program.
