Hi I'm Emily. Throughout my life, I've been surrounded by young children. I have two young siblings at home and I enjoy taking care of them and helping them learn. I would like to major in some form of education, particularly for young children. Some hobbies of mine are horse back riding, gardening, and of course- playing softball. As a child I owned multiple horses and competed. I was a member of my local 4-H club and frequently showed my horses at county fairs throughout Illinois. My sister is a year ahead of me and started playing softball before me. The year after she started I decided to play with her. The competitiveness that we have drives me to not only to be better than her one day, but to be a better player everyday. I would love to play collage softball because I believe it would help me to obtain a great education, build relationships with my teammates while playing the sport that I fell in love years ago.
Some of my strengths I have as a player are my abilities to work well with others my leadership skills. Mental toughness is the most important aspect of my game because I can hold myself accountable for my failures, but am able to move on with a positive attitude. Being able to have a clear mind prevents me as a player to making errors and helps me with a fresh start with every pitch. Over the years playing softball I have developed into a leader of my team. I use my positive attitude to encourage and motivate my teammates. Educations is the most important aspect of my collage search journey. I believe my abilities and skills, willingness to learn and love for the game will help me to achieve the goals I have set for myself.
