Placing third at the 12U Illinois State Championship has been the highlight of my softball career. However, I have grown the most as a student-athlete when I lost my starting position on my 14U travel team. That experience has helped me grow as a person and lead me to focus my efforts to become a solid pitcher capable of playing at the college level.
I learned the value of hard work, dedication, responsibility, commitment, and sacrifice. These values have allowed me to achieve success in athletics as well as academics, and I will carry them to college and beyond. In fact, I teach these values to young athletes in a developmental program. I am looking for a program that will allow me to achieve my goal of becoming an occupational therapist. To be able to play a sport that I love while I do that will be the best of both worlds.
