My name is Keely Shay Spencer and I'm in the graduating class of 2021 at Bluffs Community High School. I come from a small town called Bluffs about an hour west from Springfield, IL. Over the years I have taken advantage of living by a city and dedicated a lot of time and effort into travel ball. I have a very supportive group of friends, family, and teammates who always have my back. I have grown to love whoever I'm on the ball field with, no matter the circumstance.
Through out my high school and travel ball career I have maintained a batting average well over 300. Currently my batting average is 351 (9-10-2020) with fall and winter travel ball season still approaching. I bat right handed and throw right handed. My primary position is catcher and my secondary position is 1st base. I have attended softball camps at Lincoln Land Community College, University of Missouri, Mckendree University, and most recently I have attended the COLLEGE SCOUTING BUREAU SOFTBALL COMBINE in Bloomington, IL.
My previous travel softball team hosted a softball clinic with Alex Booker from the Chicago Bandits. Prior to the clinic, Alex worked with the team to assist her in warm-ups and running drills during the clinic. After the clinic, we had the opportunity to discuss college and career goals with Alex. I have also attend BASE Training with the Tina Buck Fast-pitch Academy. This training taught me how to be a better team player, as well as the mental and emotional aspects of the game.
I've had a passion for softball since I was playing t-ball. I hope to continue this passion in college, and to excel in my college classes while playing the sport I deeply love. I'm willing to learn, I’ll also stay dedicated to putting in time, work, and effort into whatever my coach assigns me to do. 110% is what I promise to my coaches every time I step foot on a field. I make this same promise to my teachers in their classrooms.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I invite you to follow me over the next three years on my NCSAsports.org profile. Please feel free to contact me directly at 217-491-5032, or through NCSAsports.org.
