Hi, my name is Alyssa Lopez and ever since I began playing softball when I was six years old, I have not wanted to step off the field. The passion just quickly grew as I got older and has created efficiency, dedication, and discipline that would not have been able to benefit me if I had not continued. I have created some of the best bonds with teammates and coaches on and off the field while winning or losing. Competing neck and neck is the best part of the game because I can only get better and grow while playing tougher competition, which I can not do if the team plays to always win. During games, we all have had rough days, but I will never let that affect my attitude or take a bad defensive play into my next at-bat. I believe it is important to leave mistakes behind and adjust instead of dwelling over them.
My academic success has always come as my top priority, which in the end reflects well on my transcript. 20/21 sophomore year, I have maintained a 4.9.4 cumulative GPA all year. I am not completely sure what major I want to pursue in college, but I have found Political Science, Pre-Law, Criminal Justice or Criminology to all be good focus groups to lead me to law school and work to in the end be a lawyer. My main goal for college is to work to my best potential athletically and academically and find the balance that is most efficient and leads me to success.
