Hi, I’m Rebecca Gonzalez and softball has been a passion of mine since I started playing at 9 yrs old. I wanted to try pitching however our team had two good pitchers and our coach did not know much about pitching so I went online and learned the basics of pitching and became a strong pitcher. I took this drive to learn and used it in my academics as well as in softball and volleyball. I am an outgoing person who lives the team aspect of the sport and works hard to win. It’s these strengths that softball has given me that I aim to bring into my college experience where I am looking to study Criminal Justice. I believe the working together for a common goal is a universal ideal to strive for on the field as well as off. I also work with coaches in my school to help coach young girls in softball as well as in volleyball, to give these girls some helpful pointers on how to play and especially help new pitchers begin in the sport!
