My name is Marjorie Sloan I am a currently a junior in high school. I have been on the varsity softball team, starting in center field, since freshman year. My freshman year our team went down state. I was very honored to be out there and would love for another chance to be a state champion before I graduate. Over the summer, I play for the Elk Grove Heat, I have been playing with the Heat since I was 11 years old. I feel that if you want to be a special player, you have to work very hard. I work very hard at everything I do and never take things for granted. I never give up and don't mind criticism. Criticism makes me want to work hard and to be the best that I can be. I feel I am a leader on and off the field. I lead and help my teammates out when things are going wrong and I try to encourage them and help them with something they are struggling with. In college, I'm looking to play at a high level while fulfilling my goals for a degree in the health sciences (ultimately occupational therapy). I'd love to be part of a school with a lot of school spirit and support both athletically and academically. A college environment where everyone is helping each other succeed and is proud of their school is where I would thrive. I'd love to be part of providing the highest productivity and success for the college both athletically and academically.
